Hoo's in The Forest

This collection is so adorable. I am seriously thinking about making some twin quilts for the girls room with this set. I am not sure of what type of quilt I want to make just yet, but I think this is the one. We are in the process of moving Baby Bug from her crib to a bed. Currently, Big Boy and Sassafrass are sharing the bunk beds and the Big Boy will soon have his own room. He is super excited, as am I! Sassafrass is excited to share a room with the Baby Bug too! Everybody wins! It's going to be wonderful, but lots to do in between work at the Dental Office, computer class and the vacationing that comes along with summer. I've hunkered down to a July 23rd(my birthday!)deadline of painting the rooms and the bunk beds to be more girl friendly. They are a bit rustic looking so I'm not sure how that will work, but I don't want to buy new furniture. We will make it work.

Miss Modd by Chelsea Andersen

I am super excited to have these in the shoppe. They just arrived this afternoon, and I can't wait to get my hands on these to make some dresses/skirts for my little girls. This is the first line of fabric designed by Chelsea Andersen of Henry Glass Fabrics. I have been a fan of Chelsea's from the time I laid my eyes on her wonderful patterns. You can check out Miss Modd fabric in the shoppe as well as Chelsea's patterns. The possibilities of creating are endless!
What will you be doing for April Fool's Day?
Image Poppies at Play
Wouldn't this be funny to see these signs marking every home on your street. If I had enough guts I think I would totally do this. I didn't realize that tomorrow was April Fool's Day. It totally snuck up on me this year. I have never been one to carry out jokes every year, but I know my kids would eat it up.

About Me
I have enjoyed sewing for quite some time. Well quite frankly, I just love to create things with beautiful materials, but my love for fabric started as a child. My mother made a fabulous quilt of Betsy Ross sewing the American Flag. I thought it was amazing and I was always impressed with her talent. It wasn't until college that I took a quilt making class and fell in love with quilting and fabrics. Recently I enjoy sewing clothing for my two girls. I knew that I had to share my passion for beautiful fabrics and fun and funky patterns with others. So I took a leap and started my own Etsy shop last summer. Come check us out and help spread the word.
